A convenient and efficient method for transitioning from a different cloud provider to AWS involves employing the ‘lift and shift’ approach. This strategy entails the installation of an agent on the source server to facilitate its seamless migration to AWS, ensuring it’s situated within a more robust and secure infrastructure on the AWS platform.
To execute this strategy with Zvendo, IT Visionary team set up a staging environment and performed the migration to AWS with the appropriate infrastructure. Working in close cooperation with Zvendo’s technical team, they took on the task of replicating the database onto the migrated servers. Following this, the main database was transitioned to AWS, resulting in minimal to no downtime.
